TEA INFUSED OATMEAL

 

Old Harbor Tea infused rolled oats for breakfast and snacks easy recipe

Mixing tea with breakfast is a quick and simple method to get your caffeine fix in the morning. This dish offers countless possible variations and ways to jazz up ordinary oats.

Find below 2 ways of making rolled oats:

Method 1 

Oatmeal Prepared with Water

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of purified water
  • 2 tea bags of your favorite Old Harbor Tea
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2-1 tbsp. honey or maple syrup (optional)

 Directions

  1. After the Old Harbor Tea is brewed, remove (strain) the tea and transfer it to the saucepan. 
  2.  Heat over medium-low heat while adding the rolled oats.
  3.  Stirring constantly, bring to a simmer, then simmer for approximately 10 minutes. 
  4. Remove from the heat, stir in your preferred sweetener, and sprinkle on any mix of fruit, dried fruit, chocolate chips, and nuts. Yum!

Method 2

Oatmeal Prepared with Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened milk
  • 2 tea bags of your favorite Old Harbor Masala Tea
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2-1 tbsp. honey or maple syrup (optional)

 Directions

  1.  Using a double boiler, heat the milk on medium-low until it is warm to the touch to make milk tea.
  2.  Add 2 tea bags of Old Harbor Masala tea bags when the milk has warmed up, and let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the flavour is what you want. 
  3. Transfer tea to a saucepan after straining (removing).
  4.  After adding them, bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 10 minutes. 
  5. You can top the dish with any combination of fruit, dried fruit, chocolate chips, nuts, and sweetener after removing it from the heat.
