Most green tea tastes bitter because it is brewed too hot and too long, and because the leaf was not good enough to begin with. Ours is handpicked from selected gardens and processed to stay smooth, so a straightforward three-minute brew gives you a clean, grassy cup rather than a mouthful of tannin. Under one calorie per cup, with nothing added.
Tasting notes. Clean and grassy with a mellow, slightly sweet finish and no bitter aftertaste.
How to brew?
Use water at about 80°C — boil it and let it stand for two minutes. Steep one bag for two to three minutes. Do not add milk; a squeeze of lemon or a spoon of honey works if you want it sweeter.
What is inside?100% green tea. No sugar, no flavouring, no additives.
The tea bag. Staple-free, naturally crimped filter paper. Microwave safe, with no adhesive or plasticiser.
QUESTIONS ANSWERED
How many cups of green tea a day? Two to three cups a day suits most people. Spread them out and avoid drinking green tea immediately after a heavy meal.
Why does my green tea taste bitter? Almost always water that is too hot or a steep that runs too long. Use water off the boil and stop at three minutes.
