Beat the heat with Old Harbor Tea Mocktails this summer
With summertime at its peak, it's vital to keep our bodies hydrated but plain water can be extremely boring. We all crave some cold, thirst-quenching beverages to beat the heat while trying to avoid anything aerated or high in sugar. Green tea mojito
(Serves 1)
Ingredients:
- Old Harbor green tea- 1 bag(cold-brewed for 1 hour)
- A dash of lime/ lemon
- 1 tablespoon Honey/ jaggery powder
- A pinch of Salt
- 7-8 Mint leaves
- Ice (optional)
In a glass jar crush the mint leaves, mix in the rest of the ingredients and enjoy your green tea mojito. It’s a perfect replacement for your hot cup of green tea in the mornings without sacrificing your morning boost of caffeine.
Blueberry Earl Grey iced tea
(Serves 1)
This iced tea is perfect for those who enjoy a relatively dense yet flavourful tea. This tea could be your perfect meal companion and complements almost any dessert.
Ingredients:
- Old harbor Earl Grey tea – 1 bag (cold-brewed for 1 hour )
- Blueberries (fresh/dehydrated) – 1 cup
- A dash of lemon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Half cup crushed ice
In a glass jar add your berries and mint leaves and crush the two together. Once the ingredients are crushed well add the liquid ingredients and crushed ice, stir and enjoy.
Watermelon mint cooler
(Serves 1)
For all those who enjoy a light fruity tea on the palate, this is the perfect go-to beverage. It’s extremely refreshing and you won’t be able to get past the summer season without this cooler once you’ve tried it.
Ingredients
- Old Harbor Mint green tea – 1 bag (cold-brewed for 1 hour)
- 1 cup finely chopped watermelon
- A dash of lemon
- Half teaspoon pre-soaked chia seeds/sabja
- A pinch of chaat masala
- 7-8 mint leaves.
- A small cup of crushed ice
- Half tablespoon jaggery powder
In a glass, jar semi crush the chopped watermelon and mint leaves. Once chopped add in the rest of the ingredients, stir well and enjoy.
Iced shaken Jasmine cucumber tea
(Serves 1)
If you are looking for a soul-soothing refreshing beverage then your search ends here. Jasmine has extremely calming effects on the nerves and hence this is ideal as an evening beverage post a long scorching hot day.
Ingredients:
- Old Harbor jasmine green tea – 1 bag (cold-brewed for 1 hour)
- A small cup of chopped cucumber
- 5-6 mint leaves
- 1 honey
- Half cup crushed ice
In a glass jar crush the cucumber and mint leaves, add the rest of the ingredients, shake well for 3-4 minutes and your tea is ready to be consumed.
