Orange Strawberry Jasmine Tea Granita

Summer is here and granita is the perfect dish to make this time of the year. A very refreshing frozen slush, bursting with fruity and floral notes, you will surely love this. The jasmine tea adds the perfect floral touch to it and gives it a unique flavour.


  • 1 cup water
  • 1 jasmine green tea bag
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest


  1. Bring water to a boil and turn off the flame.
  2. Steep the jasmine green tea bag in the boiling water for two minutes.
  3. Discard the tea bag and add in the sugar.
  4. Once it has cooled a little, add in the orange juice, orange zest and strawberry pieces and mix.
  5. Pour this mixture into a flat pan. The mixture should ideally be 1-2 inches in depth.
  6. Place the pan in the freezer. Using a fork, stir the mixture every 30-45 minutes, until it is frozen as ice crystals. This will take about 3 hours. Scoop into glasses and serve.
